Accounts Payable Clerk
About the Role
RH Community Builders is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day payables and intercompany
reconciliation across our three affiliated nonprofit entities. This role is well suited to someone who is detail-oriented,
comfortable in Excel, and interested in building skills across multi-entity accounting.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform accounts payable data entry across RHCB, ECS, and CAP
• Match invoices to purchase orders and code transactions to the correct program, property, or entity
• Build and maintain Excel-based tools to automate recurring AP workflows and reporting
• Reconcile intercompany payables between RHCB, ECS, and CAP, identifying discrepancies and flagging them
to the Accounting Manager for resolution
• Support month-end close activities related to intercompany balances
• Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and payment records
• Assist with AP-related entries in QuickBooks
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding invoice and payment status
• Assist with monthly grant invoicing
Requirements
• Minimum 6 months of hands-on accounts payable, bookkeeping, or reconciliation experience required
• Strong working knowledge of Excel (formulas, pivot tables; VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP required,
macros/automation a plus)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume data entry
• Ability to track and flag transactions across multiple related entities
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Candidates will complete a brief Excel/reconciliation skills exercise as part of the interview process
Preferred Qualifications
• 1 year of college accounting coursework or prior AP or bookkeeping experience
• Prior AP or bookkeeping experience in a multi-entity or nonprofit environment
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Exposure to intercompany accounting concepts
• Familiarity with Excel
