Front Desk - The Flats (Part Time)
Position Summary
Overnight Front Desk staff will provide direct supervision of clients ensuring safety of all residents, model appropriate behavior, and compliance to program rules. Daily routine care and supervision will fall mainly on the Front Desk staff. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Ensure a safe, secure, and efficient facility and program 24 hours a day.
Ensures safety of residents and staff in all emergencies.
Ensures residents’ compliance with agency policies and rules.
Monitors residential areas, is visible and continuously interacts with shelter residents.
Assist residents within limits in processing issues and problem-solving.
Monitor medication and consumption log in accordance to the medication policy of the program.
Consult with direct supervisor or supervisor on-duty regarding residents’ personal needs, behavior and service planning.
Check for contraband in facility through general observation, room or package/purse searches
Maintain resident sign-in/out log as well as all other logbooks and records.
Answer telephone and route calls or messages to appropriate staff. Respond to in-person and telephone inquiries from the public.
Perform other duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
The successful candidate with have a High School Diploma or GED equivalency or 1 year experience working with the homeless or other at-risk population. Spanish speaking, preferred.
