Landlord Locator - LLE

Position Summary 

The Landlord Locator (LL) is responsible for generating Landlord leads in Fresno and Madera County for the Landlord Engagement and Mitigation Fund Program. The LL is also responsible for assisting and transitioning clients into housing. The incumbent is accountable for conducting targeted outreach activities promoting prospective landlord partnerships. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Identifying landlords to rent to referred clients through outreach activities such as cold calling and canvassing.
  • Enter data on all outreach activities conducted into the Program Database.
  • Debrief new referrals and develop housing plans for prospective clients.
  • Assist clients with completing housing applications and advocate on the client’s behalf for approval.
  • Develop a move-in plan in collaboration with the client to support the transition into housing.
  • Identify, at minimum, 4 units per week that meet affordability criteria for the targeted population.
  • Conduct outreach presentations to promote the program and recruit Landlords willing to rent to clients referred by the program.
  • Submit affordable housing units to the Program Manager for screening before posting on the program website.
  • Participate in professional development activities

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Previous experience working with landlords, the homeless community, or individuals with mental health challenges is strongly preferred.

Experience in sales, outreach, or 1-on-1 communication is a plus. 

This position requires driving in the community for work duties–the applicant must be approved by the Company Driver Policy.
